Lucas Brox presents the Alma Negra exhibition at the Young Artistic Creation Space of Molina de Segura from Tuesday, October 27 (26/10/2020)

| The exhibition will remain open to the public until November 25 | The Youth Department of the Molina de Segura City Council organizes the Alma Negra exhibition, by Lucas Brox, from October 27 to November 25, in the Exhibition Hall of the Young Artistic Creation Space (at Avenida de Madrid, n ° 68) , Monday to Friday, from 5:30 p.m.

to 8:30 p.m. In the works in this exhibition, the artist has worked almost entirely with Chinese ink, except for a touch of black watercolor, charcoal or acrylic to give some detail.

Look for the spontaneity of the line and the capture of movement, above all.

He believes that a painting made in a very fast period of time does not detract from the work, quite the contrary.

Try to show the transience of the condensed moment in an instant. Mainly it is about works and poses of female models, although there are some male ones.

For him, the theme is the least of it, he focuses on the work and thinks that the female body has more movement, is more beautiful. Lucas Brox understands both painting and his own work as a pictorial informalism, even an abstraction within the figuration itself.

Part of a realistic image to create a composition and a work that aims to get out of reality itself.

From his point of view, all artistic creation can be decomposed into spots and that is what he is looking for.

More than a narrative work or hyperrealism, his path so far is to investigate the nature of painting itself, although he does not rule out another way of working or participating. From a young age, Brox has been motivated by painting.

At the age of 5 or 6, he painted at his neighbor Antonio Ballester's house on weekends.

He comments that he did not go to painting academies, but his parents convinced him to do Fine Arts, and a teacher at the School of Art encouraged him to also do sculpture.

He remembers it as his best period of study.

He also studied in Barcelona and Milan and finally finished in Murcia in 2015. At that time, Lucas Brox began exhibiting in bars and, after about a year, he exhibited in his first gallery.

Since then, he usually has two exhibitions a year, one large and one smaller, in various galleries or institutions, such as the Caja Murcia Foundation in Madrid or various municipalities.

He also exhibited at the ArtMadrid art fair in Cibeles in 2017/2018.

Now he paints daily and has his studio in Vistabella, where he teaches a couple of days a week.
