| The agreement was presented today, Friday, November 6, in the Municipal Plenary Hall, and includes the direct grant by ESAMUR of a grant of 500,000 euros in favor of the Molina de Segura City Council | The agreement between the Molina de Segura City Council and the Murcia Region Sanitation and Purification Entity (ESAMUR) for the financing of sewerage and sanitation works in the Los Valientes district has been presented at a press conference today, Friday 6 November, in the Plenary Hall of the Molinense Consistory. The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, and the Councilor for Public Roads, Pedanías and Infrastructures, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez attended. The object of the agreement is to channel the direct concession by ESAMUR of a grant of 500,000 euros in favor of the Molina de Segura City Council, for the execution of the following actions: Works for the implementation of a sanitation service in the consolidated urban land of the Los Valientes district. General Collector of Sanitation in the district of Los Valientes. This agreement has its origins in Law 1/2016, of February 5, on General Budgets of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia for the 2016 financial year, where a capital transfer is included, in Chapter 7, to ESAMUR for financing of sewerage and sanitation works in the Los Valientes de Molina de Segura district for an amount of 500,000 euros. Throughout these years, the Molina de Segura City Council has advanced and carried out the execution of the investment, with the actions already carried out of: - In 2017, the works to implement the sanitation service on the consolidated urban land of the Los Valientes district were awarded, for an amount of 573,927 euros. - And in 2019 the works of the General Sanitation Collector in the district of Los Valientes are awarded, for an amount of 134,400 euros. "The work of the General Sanitation Collector we understood that it was not our responsibility to carry out, explains Fuensanta Martínez-, since the construction of this collector was also included in the sewage treatment project; hence, in the 2017 sanitation project it did not collect this collector During these 5 years of government, we have had numerous meetings with the political leaders of the Regional Government, with the intention of working in collaboration and coordination so that the sanitation works that were contracted by the City Council, are carried out jointly, with the construction by ESAMUR of the treatment plant that is needed for the treatment of wastewater.

Unfortunately, this has not been the case, and the Regional Government has not understood these works as a priority for the residents of the area.
