[The boys of Molina Basket, to the final of the World Skills Championship (14/12/2020)

| The men's team qualifies for the final against the BEST Center Sport, from the Philippines | The girls sign a brilliant third place in the final ranking. The Molina Basket men's team has qualified for the final of the World Skills Championship, organized by the United Nations of Basketball.

The junior players got their pass after achieving the second best overall score of the four participants in the Final Four last weekend.

The group is made up of players from several Molina Basket teams: the San Jorge MB College, the MobyFish MB and the Costa C lida Promotores MB.

The final of this online event will take place in the next few days.

Those and the rival of the Molinenses will be the BEST Sport Center, from the Philippines. For their part, the Molina Basket girls signed a brilliant third position.

After having remained among the best in the championship during all phases, the players of the combined Bareca MB and ACG MB remained at the gates of the final where they would have measured the Proformance of Hawaii (United States). While waiting for the result of the final, the Molinense club -which represented Spain- has already managed to be the best-ranked European team in both male and female categories.

The teams of Molina Basket have faced rivals from Europe, Asia, Oceania, Africa and America in this UNB World Teams Skills Championship (official name of the event in English) .This championship is organized by the United Nations of Basketball and it is developed in online mode, so the teams compete with each other virtually by carrying out individual agility tests, handling the ball and shooting for the basket. The passage to the final of the boys of Molina Basket was based on excellent exercises, highlighting the agility test.

Their skill in a coordination challenge earned them to place three players among the seven best in the world: Fran Hern ndez (3rd place), Maksim Panchenko (6th) and Emilio Trujillo (7th).

There were also outstanding performances in the other two tests.

In the basket shot challenge, Paco Sarabia repeated his previous magnificent performances and finished in 2nd overall position, while Maksim again slipped into the best (9th).

In the ball handling challenge, the best of Molina Basket was Seraf n Mart nez, 10th in the world. The Molinense women's team took the podium after a splendid collective performance.

Despite the dominance of the Hawaiians, several Molina Basket players managed to enter the Top 10 in two tests: Noem Revelles (9th position) and Alicia Miranda (10th) excelled in the agility test, while Mercedes Fern ndez in the shooting test again classified among the best in the world with her 8th overall position. This international event takes place in online mode, obtaining the score of each team with the sum of the individual results of each participant in the different tests.The first results will be known at dawn from Wednesday 16 to Thursday 17 of the absolute final.

In the event of a tie, a second final round will be played until December 21.

The UNB World Teams Skills Championship began at the end of November and teams from all continents of the world have participated.
