| As of yesterday, Wednesday, December 16, Molina de Segura triples in one week the accumulated incidence in the last 7 days, which reaches 69.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants | The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, presented at a press conference, today Thursday, December 17, in the Municipal Plenary Hall, updated data on the incidence of the COVID-19 pandemic in the municipality.

He was accompanied in the presentation by the Councilor for Sports and Health, Miguel ngel Cantero Garc a.

Clavero has pointed out that "we are only one week away from Christmas Eve and these are usually days for the meeting, days in which joy, dinners, meals and a desire to enjoy themselves are shared.

Perhaps they are These are where we are, the dates of the year when there is greater social interaction.

It is something that we have engraved in our DNA and of which we are proud.

It is in our power to prevent that desire to share and have a good time, they make us who we are, they become a heavy slab that negatively affects the beginning of the New Year.

Now more than ever we must exercise caution and continue to show that we know how to be responsible.

After weeks where the contagion curve and the Accumulated Incidence in Molina de Segura decreased to levels similar to those of early August,We have seen how in the last few days there has been a slight ascent that should make us be alert and not lower our guard.

" "Experts are beginning to speak of a third wave, which could come even before the vaccination process begins and which would be catastrophic, both for community health and for our economy.

Let's not forget that the The vaccine does not guarantee that the infections will stop occurring, "recalls the Mayor.

In one week, in Molina de Segura, the Accumulated Incidence per 100,000 inhabitants has almost tripled, going from the 23.6 cases it had on Wednesday, December 9, to the 69.6 yesterday.

This means an increase in just seven days from 46 cases.

"We came from a week in which this incidence had been cut by more than half." The increase, although more slight, has also been very significant in the Accumulated Incidence in fourteen days.

Last Wednesday it was located at 89 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

A week later, that figure is 93.2 cases, that is, 4.2 more cases.

Yesterday, Wednesday, December 16, there were a total of 44 active cases, 24 more than a week ago.

So far in this second wave, the accumulated number of cases is 2,559.

The increase, in one week, has been 51 PCR positive.

Last week that increase was 19 PCR positive.

In the last 7 days, the average has been 7 cases per day.

A week ago that average was 3 cases a day.

The Region of Murcia, according to the data collected in the epidemiological report of last Monday, December 14, is still in Phase 1 of care risk given that the number of hospital admissions of COVID patients in the last seven days has been below 400 and the number of people admitted to Intensive Care Units, ICU, is less than 100.

On the other hand, the regional health alert level is medium / high, as there is an Accumulated Incidence between 75 and 250 cases at fourteen days and between 50 and 150 at seven days.

For Molina de Segura, this level of health alert, as in other thirteen Murcian municipalities, is low when, according to the aforementioned report, it has an Accumulated Incidence at fourteen days lower than 75 and, in the case of the Accumulated Incidence at seven days, below 50.

The combination of Phase 1 of healthcare risk at the regional level and the low level of health alarm in the municipality means that the capacity inside the hospitality premises goes from 50 to 75 percent.

In addition, it can be consumed in bars and the occupancy on terraces is maintained at 100%.

The capacity in shops goes from 50 to 75 percent, as in theaters, cinemas and auditoriums.

In the case of the Villa de Molina Theater, the City Council will initially maintain a capacity of 50 percent, which means the occupation of 270 seats per representation.

These rules will be in effect at least until Christmas Eve.

In addition, the perimeter closure of the Murcia Region remains in force until Three Kings Day, the limitation of movements between eleven at night and six in the morning and the number remains at six.

Mere maximum number of people in meetings.

"The epidemiological situation will be the one that establishes how we will live Christmas this year, which, regardless of the data that is reported, will undoubtedly be very different from what we are used to.

To know in detail The measures to be applied will have to wait for the agreements to be adopted at the meeting of the Regional COVID Committee next Monday, where the restrictions that will be applied in the Region of Murcia will be determined.

", explains the Mayor.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Molina de Segura Local Police has imposed a total of 903 sanctions for non-compliance with the established regulations, most of them, specifically 456, for not wearing or using the mask improperly: - 218 have been for drinking in public.

In the week that runs from 7 to 13 this December, there have been 32 sanctions imposed, of which 21 have been processed for breaching the curfew.
