[The Molina de Segura City Council conducts a study to improve municipal communication related to the pandemic and to adopt mitigation measures (04/01/2021)

| The study includes a citizen survey that will provide a precise vision of how perceives local information related to the pandemic | The COVID19 Technical-Scientific Committee of Molina de Segura is carrying out, together with the Chair of Security, Emergencies and Catastrophes of the University of Malaga, a study to improve municipal communication relative to the pandemic, which will also serve to adopt the most appropriate mitigation measures and improve prevention.

As a preliminary step, a voluntary and anonymous survey has begun to be carried out among people over 18 years of age in Molina de Segura that will provide an accurate vision of how the citizens receive and perceive the information related to the pandemic.

The questionnaire, which has been designed, adjusted and stratified with face-to-face interviews, can be carried out, in less than five minutes, telematically at: https://forms.gle/42t46GQMsTgMjwjS6.

The interested party must specify the neighborhood in which they live and if they do so with more people, their age, sex-gender, employment situation and level of studies.

The questionnaire is divided into six blocks, the first of which is focused on the perception that citizens have of the information provided by the City Council on COVID-19 and the channels it uses to do so.

The second block of the questionnaire delves into the level of personal knowledge that respondents have about preventive measures against the disease and the ways in which they have received that information.

Subsequently, there is a third block focused on the knowledge of the use of the mask, the reasons that lead to put it on and the associated hygiene measures.

The four block of questions emphasizes the routes of transmission of the disease, the vaccine and the intention not to make use of it by the respondent.

The fifth section of the find proposes several options to improve the level of communication that exists between the citizens and the City Council in order to improve the measures to combat the pandemic.

Finally, the sixth block collects the personal sensations and appreciations that the respondents have had in the last two weeks: anxiety, worry, lack of interest, decay.

The survey is closed by asking if any member of the family has suffered from the disease or has experienced it.

The two local health centers, the Hospital de Molina and the Federation of Inter-neighborhood Neighbors Associations, are involved in carrying out this study.
