The City of Molina de Segura, through the Department of Culture, has called the Setenil Award for Best Story Book Published in Spain, this year 2016 has already reached its thirteenth edition, demonstrating the strength and success of a call that has managed to be one of the most eagerly awaited by those who practice the genre of short fiction in our country.

The last edition broke attendance record with nearly a hundred titles submitted.

The Setenil Award, which has been dubbed "the Oscar Story in Spain", is endowed with 10,000 euros for the winner, and will have as president of the jury for this edition of the prestigious writer Eloy Blight, a regular contributor to the press, teacher workshops narrative and author, among other works, the famous book of stories speed of the gardens.

The Department of Culture of the City of Molina de Segura, in order to help strengthen the recognition of the story as a literary genre in our country, announces the XIII SETENIL AWARD 2016, intended to reward the best book of short stories published in Spain in the period It referred to the announcement, under the following

BASES

I may attend the XIII SETENIL AWARD storybooks which comply with the following characteristics:

Books must have been published between the dates of April 23, 2015 (Book Day) and April 22, 2016, meaning that publication date it has completed the process of book production (printing and binding).

It must be unique story collections author and Spanish nationality.

While they may have originally been published in any of the official languages ​​of the Spanish State, shall be submitted to this contest edition in Spanish.

In the case of works originally written in other languages ​​other than Castilian state, date to be considered will be the publication of the translated work.

The decision on what is or is not a "storybook" corresponds only to the jury.

They may not participate reprints of books that are above or anthologies of short stories and published in book form.

However, collections will be accepted when the stories have appeared only in periodicals.

They may submit books competing for the prize both publishers directly, any natural or legal person, attaching:

Two copies of each of the books presented, once the process is completed will become property of the City of Molina de Segura funds to enrich its network of public libraries.

IV.

The deadline for submission of copies will end on June 30, 2016.
