Hundreds of citizens of Molina de Segura have supported the convened by the molinense Hall concentration for 20.00 hours on Monday 23 May in the Plaza of Spain, to show rejection of molinense to male violence citizenship and the solidarity with the neighboring city victim of a brutal macho aggression on Friday 20 May.
The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Look, read an official statement condemning, on behalf of the Municipal Corporation, by this violent macho aggression and forcefulness in any actions claiming to be routed to the final eradication of this social scourge.
On the afternoon of Friday May 20 occurred in the municipality a macho aggression against a woman who, at the moment is very serious in a health center in the region, as a result of the significant injuries he suffered.

Institutional declaration against gender violence
Last Friday, May 20, Molina de Segura has seen a new macho aggression against a woman.
Faced with this brutal aggression, the Municipal Corporation of the City of Molina de Segura wants to make public its strong condemnation, he repudiation firmer against violence against women in all its manifestations and to express our solidarity with the victim.
The public authorities have an obligation to act forcefully against gender violence.
It is intolerable that this social evil continues.
The whole society must be aware of the severity and extent of the problem affecting us.
Much more than what we're doing because, far from stopping the spiral of violence grows in our society.
Let's spend, all public authorities, associations, citizenship, our efforts to eradicate violence against women.
We can no longer tolerate more victims.
We have an obligation to react, to act, to maintain, increase and promote policies aimed at eliminating such violence.
It is necessary also that protective measures are stronger and monitoring is done to prevent attacks abusers as victims.
From City of Molina de Segura we call on all citizens, institutions, social partners, associations and groups to work together in achieving this goal: effective equality and the eradication of violence against women.
