The presentation of the book The Boy who would not mourn, the writer Jose Antonio Jimenez-Barbero, about the true face of bullying, will take place on Tuesday, June 7, at 20.00 pm in the Library Salvador García Aguilar (in the Chorrico Avenue, No. 44).

After working several years as a police officer, Jose Antonio Jimenez-Barbero (Barcelona, ​​1975) he obtained his doctorate in 2013 with a thesis on school violence and behavioral problems in adolescents.

Currently he is an associate professor at the University of Murcia, which simultaneously with his profession of specialist mental health nurse.

Based on extensive professional and academic experience accumulated over the years, his fiction address youth issues from a raw and realistic vision: The boy who would not mourn, Memoirs of a teenage psychopath and face of madness.

Synopsis:

For Santiago, the daily life at school has become an unbearable punishment and the idea of ​​suicide, fascinating and terrible, comes to mind tortured with increasing frequency ...

Everything changes when he meets Lucia, the new girl.

Likeable, intelligent and endowed with great sensitivity, is the only one able to discover the wonderful world that treasures inside the strange and lonely boy.

And something extraordinary begins to happen to Santiago.

Hidden beneath the surface of his apparent shyness, suddenly it reveals a strong, indomitable and sometimes dark personality.

But the cruel persecution continues, increasingly obsessive and violent;

and Santiago, determined not to be defeated, the supports silent, uncomplaining ... without mourn.
