Pinhole Photography 1850, Lajara Damien Lucas, organized by the Department of Tourism of the City of Molina de Segura, opens to the public on Wednesday, June 15.
The opening ceremony will take place at 20.00 pm in the Exhibition Hall Los Postigos (in Pensioner Street, No. 3).
The exhibition will remain open until July 20 and will run: morning, Monday through Friday, from 10.00 to 13.30, and Saturdays and Sundays from 11.00 to 14.00;
and evenings, Tuesday through Friday from 18:00 to 20:00 (in July, closed evenings).
A look to the past.
Pinhole Photography 1850 is a project of Damien Lajara Lucas and Juan Bautista García Esteve collecting portraits of some of the most famous characters of our time murcianos through this photographic ancient technique.

The cámarasestenopeicassuelen be handmade, they are constructed with cardboard boxes, cans, matchboxes, boats or any other device that can shut out the light.
It basically consists of a dark chamber with a small hole (I llamadoestenopo), by which the light rays impinge on the film or photographic paper is admitted.
The project is the work of Damien Lajara Lucas, renowned photographer and film producer who started his career at Sabadell in the late 70s, and Juan Bautista Garcia Esteve, professor Fotoestenopeica Association of Murcia.
Lajara Damian knows the secrets of photography.
He never lost the desire to have a camera in my hands, however, this time not holding a digital camera, does not take to treat a file on your computer, like most of today's photographers;
Damian still being marked challenges, and choose pinhole photography for exhibition.
A photograph apparently simple but to achieve quality works extraordinarily complicated.
Damian intention is accurate, take the slight deformation of the image within the camera for original and innovative results, results that is felt their art, images that suggest the past but point to the future.
