The first Fair Gastro souk Food Trucks, organized by Markets Gathered Levante, SL, in collaboration with the City of Molina de Segura, will take place from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 June at the Park Company, next to Vega Shopping Mall Square.
Fair schedule is as follows:
Friday, June 17: from 13.00 to 24.00 hours.
Saturday June 18 from 11:00 to 24:00 hours.
Sunday 19 June: from 11.00 to 16.00.
This fair offers a varied cuisine on wheels, where visitors can enjoy the imagination of great chefs with a range of flavors and aromas cooked live, which can be tasted touring the different trucks, vans and caravans, all with vintage decoration or vehicles restored and adapted vintage image keeping food trucks of the '60s.
This whole event is enlivened with live music from local groups and DJs, with a musical set in the music of the 60s to 80. Also, on Saturday afternoon, craft stalls accompany the exhibition, with the aim of encourage citizens to consume in Molina de Segura, visit its streets and bars, and increase tourism in the municipality.
The first food trucks are born in the UK during World War II, with the mission to feed the military on their bases.
In the 60s, in New York, with the Hippy movement, timidly begin to appear with the name of food trucks in different streets of the city.
Today they are a more alternative to traditional cuisine, in Spain offering quality fast food.
Prices of tapas served are varied, since each has a different food trucks cuisine: crepes, tacos, toasts, tapas, Iberian, rice, burguers, sausages, pizzas, octopus, burgers, sweets, etc.
