The Commission Scholarship Schools Early Childhood Education of the City of Molina de Segura, under the Department of Social Welfare, has recently agreed to grant 54 scholarships, of the 76 requested by residents in the municipality families with school children and girls between 0 and 3 years in the municipal nursery school.
The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Look, by the Councillor for Social Welfare, Angel Navarro Garcia, have realized Friday October 21 at a news conference as agreed by the Commission, the number of beneficiary families and the amount of aid.
The municipal councilor considers "essential that citizens know the mechanisms that the City uses for awarding these grants, to be made public both the process and the result, so it is completely transparent."
The scale laid down for granting aid set according to family income and personal issues and family of children.
For it is taken into account if the beneficiary has a disabled family member, if you belong to a single parent or if it comes to children with special educational needs, including exceptional situations.
Scholarships are awarded based on the points assigned to the families and the amount can vary according to their score, from two to seven points.
The total amount of grants awarded amounts to 67,894.84 euros.
For example, the maximum of seven points, won by eight applicants, is an aid of 100% share, while having achieved two points brings with assistance from the 20% share, which in this case corresponded to 12 applicants.
The cost of the square is set at 2,237.07 euros.
Esther Clavero said to be aware of "the need to increase the available to serve the largest possible number of families budget" and expressed their commitment to "study the increase for future budget years."
The centers which have applied for grants are: EI Consolation, EI El Llano, EI Immaculate, EI Cañada de las Eras, CAI San Antonio, CAI St. Helena, CAI Altorreal, CAI The Alcayna and EI El Limonar (under the Community Autonomous).
Councillor for Social Welfare, Angel Navarro Garcia, said that still remains open within scholarships for families that were awarded place during the rest of the course, and has stated that the council who heads has five specific places for less than 0, 1 and 2 years, presenting a situation of social vulnerability and require this resource.
