The City of Molina de Segura and the "Association Polifónica Coral Hims Mola", signed on Friday 21 October, a collaboration agreement for the promotion of music and performing music activities equipped with a municipal contribution of 3,500 euros.
The signing of the agreement was attended by the Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Look, the Councillor for Culture, Pedro Jesus Martinez Baths, and the President of the "Association Coral Polifónica Hims Mola", José María Contreras García.
Esther Clavero said that this agreement and others that are signed with cultural associations of the municipal level, "is not just a random subsidy but an investment".
The Mayor has stated that "to the extent that we are able to maintain and grow these partnerships, we will have a truly popular culture, in the sense that the dynamics comes from the bottom up".
The municipal councilor has highlighted the important role that the "Polyphonic Choir Association Hims Mola" has played throughout its 25 years of existence revitalize culture in Molina de Segura, insisting on a commitment to continue contributing from the municipal institution to strengthen the cultural fabric of the town.
Arnaldos founded by Manuel Serrano, the Polyphonic Choir Hims Mola, has adult, youth and white voices sections.
He has performed both in Molina de Segura and in different localities of the Region of Murcia, as well as in other communities.
The coral is particularly proud to have been able also sing in various locations in Europe.
As coral belonging to the FECOREM (Federation of Choirs of the Region of Murcia), she has participated in numerous meetings and exchanges organized by the federation.
The City of Molina de Segura granted in 2012 to the Polyphonic Choir Hims Mola recognition of the Cultural Dissemination Setenil for his work in the musical field.
The current directors of the coral are Arnaldos Manuel Serrano (founding member) and Pilar Fernandez Gallardo, and have the inestimable extraordinary collaboration of the orchestra conductor Virginia Martínez Fernández, both as a chorister as collaborator director.
