The Municipal Library Network commemorates the International Day of the Library with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of reading (21/10/2016)

Library Network of Molina de Segura, on the occasion of the commemoration, on Monday, October 24, the International Day of the Library has organized a Cultural Week (from 24 to 29 October) with all kinds of activities focused on its various groups users, with the aim of raising public awareness of the importance of reading, and in turn, as tribute and recognition to the work of librarians and library.

The program includes craft workshops, storytelling, sharing bookmarks, meetings with authors, a charity market and fun contests, all designed to celebrate with users of municipal libraries of Molina de Segura International Library Day, a commemoration that He was born in 1997 from the hand of the "Spanish Association of Friends of Children's Book".

Library Network of Molina de Segura is formed by the Library Salvador García Aguilar (at Avenida del Chorrico No. 44), the Library Mercedes Mendoza (at Calle Cervantes No. 5) and the Center for Reading "panochista Paco El Niño" (in the Social Center of El Llano de Molina located in C / Mayor n ° 8 molinense district).

Each year, a writer and an illustrator, both renowned, the wording of the proclamation and the poster design that spreads among all libraries in Spain is responsible.

This year 2016, the authors have been Leticia Costas and Elena Odriozola, National Prize for Children's Literature and Illustration 2015 respectively.

The program includes three competitions, in which you can participate until 26 October and whose prizes are tickets provided by the Teatro Villa de Molina for performances Sunday October 30 ( "Tom Thumb and his brothers") and 4 November ( "A honeycomb of rich honey").

One of these contests is called "A tale character in your library", in which participants, children aged 6 to 13 years are asked to draw a picture where it can be a character, of a familiar story in the library.

The second competition for users over 14 years, is presented under the theme "Library is ..." and seeks participants with a word define what the library means to them.

The last contest, which takes place on social networks (Facebook and Twitter), is called "Knowledge itself takes place."

Here participants must discover the name of a library with only three tracks.

Caritas interparochial Molina de Segura installed for the fourth consecutive year, from 24 to 28 October, a solidarity inside the Library Salvador García Aguilar, from 10:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 21:00 with the aim of collecting food for the most needy of the town.

This initiative offers the possibility for citizens to redeem nonperishable food or gifts in exchange for books and audiovisual materials.

These are materials that have been donated over time by different users to molinenses libraries, and they already have.

Those interested in helping can choose and take a book, a DVD or CD to change to leave nonperishable food, especially those which may serve to childhood consumption.

The program of activities also includes a fun Photocall on the stairs leading up to the reading room of the Library Salvador García Aguilar, where users can take nice pictures and share them on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag # soyratóndebiblioteca.

In this same library can also be the exhibition "Before librarians writers."

On Monday October 24, International Day of the Library, bookmarks distributed among users.

On Tuesday 25, at the Center for Reading "panochista Paco El Niño" El Llano, crafts workshop, from 17:00 to 19:00 hours, and the Library Mercedes Mendoza, at 18:00 hours will be held, there will be a Storyteller.

On Wednesday 26 the Library Salvador García Aguilar receive a visit from Child Education School San Antonio College, and students of the Centre for Professional Studies Molina de Segura will offer a storyteller, at 12:30 hours.

That same day the Mercedes Mendoza Library will host a workshop craft at 18:00.

On Thursday October 27 at the Center for Reading "panochista Paco El Niño" El Llano will be a crafts workshop, from 17:00 to 19:00, and the Library Salvador García Aguilar, at 18:00, a storyteller.

The program includes activities on Friday, October 28, at the Library Salvador García Aguilar, at 20:00 pm, the presentation of the book "What alcohol has joined let no one separate hangover" from the writer of romance Garcia Saura.
