The First Deputy Mayor and Molina de Segura City Councilman meets with the Government Delegate to increase the police presence in the campaign for the collection of citrus and table grapes (18/11/2016)

The First Lieutenant of Mayor and Molina de Segura City Councilman, Fernando Miñana Hurtado, held a meeting, Thursday, November 17, with the Government Delegate in the Region of Murcia, Antonio Sánchez Solís, to define concrete actions with the That guarantee the safety of the inhabitants of Molina de Segura.

In this meeting, which was also attended by Deputy Inspector Chief of Local Police of the municipality, José Pérez Almagro, has expressed the need to strengthen security in the field of Molina on the occasion of the campaign of collection of fruit, which will end December 31st.

To this end, specific actions and devices coordinated between the Local Police and National Police bodies will be established.

Sánchez Solís has committed to increase the police presence in those areas where the collection of citrus is currently being developed.

Miñana has also moved the need to increase the visits of the National Police in the orchard areas, thus meeting the request of the associations of neighbors and neighbors of these rural areas.

The Councilor for Citizen Security has requested the possibility of having civilian agents in the neighborhoods and districts that require greater need in the urban area of ​​Molina de Segura, in addition to the existing in the weekly markets.

This initiative would serve to carry out actions focused on optimizing neighborhood coexistence and citizen security.

In this sense, Miñana remarks that "it is necessary that we conceive the public spaces of the municipality as our heritage and future generations, with these actions we want both cleanliness and urban care is everyone's responsibility."

On the other hand, the meeting has agreed to progressively increase the number of National Police officers in the municipal territory, especially in the areas with the highest population density and where there is some kind of conflict.
