The Salvador García Aguilar Library (Avenida del Chorrico 44) will host the activity organized by the Ateneo Villa de Molina "Europe and the Syrian war refugees" on Thursday, January 12, at 8 pm, where the book " The Cry of the Refugees "by Fernando Bermúdez López and a debate will begin on Syrian refugees in Europe, with the participation of the author of the book, Bernardo Pérez Andreo, Secretary of Justice and Peace, and Miguel Ros Lorca, member of the Molina de Segura Immigration Support Platform.
The theologian and specialist on social rights, ethics and spirituality, Fernando Bermúdez, narrates in "The cry of the refugees" the sad phenomenon of the Syrians who have been forced to abandon their homes and their country cause of war, an exodus that Has led to more than 60 million displacements, making it the largest human drama since World War II.
Bermudez collects testimonies in the book that shake consciences and seek to awaken others who may be asleep.
In the event, the proposals made recently by the "Justice and Peace" organization on the refugee problem will be presented recently, and after a previous presentation by the rapporteurs, the activity will be aimed, As usual, to the debate among the participants.
Prior to the event, the prizes of the 1st "Christmas" micro-story competition, organized by the Salvador García Aguilar Library, the publishing house "Tirano Banderas" and Radio Compañía will be presented.
This contest has been won by Jordi Rosiñol Lorenzo with his micro-story "Humanitarian Urgency", in which the author gives voice to the victims of Aleppo, shortly before Christmas.
In its first edition, the contest has had more than thirty micro-stories.
The prize consists of an accrediting diploma, a lot books and two tickets for the Villa de Molina Theater.
The Villa de Molina de Segura Ateneo began its journey in November 2014 with the express intention of being a place where all the ideas and vital concepts that assume the principles and objectives of the association could be manifested and defended.
