The Ministry of Tourism of the City of Molina de Segura, for the fourth consecutive year and in collaboration with the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia and the Regional Network of Tourism Offices, organized during the year 2016 a total of 9 guided tours and Free, which took place from February 6 to December 17.

In these visits participated 664 people, who came from different municipalities of the Region and the province of Alicante.

This represented an increase of 86% in visitors compared to 357 in 2015.

This program shows the tourist attractions that Molina de Segura has, focusing on two relevant stages of its history for which two tourist routes have been developed: Molina Medieval and Entre Chimeneas.

As a novelty in this edition of the Free Guided Tours Program, the possibility of making the online reservation has been incorporated, so that interested parties have been able to consult and book their visit through the website www.murciaturistica.es.

In this way, people from Murcia, Cartagena, Alguazas, San Javier, Yecla, Santomera, Alicante and Cabo Roig, among other localities, have been able to make these visits.

An important new development has been the incorporation of the MUDEM visit to the Program in the last quarter of the year.

As for the proposed routes, in 2016 two new guided tours were added: Historias Insólitas de Molina, by the hand of the Molinese writer Paco López Mengual and Visit to Las Lagunas de Campotéjar.

The Councilor for Tourism, Rocío Balsalobre, thanked "the unselfish collaboration in this program of many people and groups of the locality", among which are: Paco López Mengual, Department of Environment, Municipal Orchestra Hims Mola, Cabildo Superior de Brotherhoods of Molina de Segura, Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Sorrows, Brotherhood of Santo Entierro, Villa de Molina Theater and Choral and Dance Group of Molina, Regional Association Francisco Salzillo.
