February 25: III Regional Conference on Rare Diseases The III Regional Conference on Rare Diseases, to be held in Molina de Segura on Saturday 25 February at the Paseo Rosales School, was presented this morning (25/01/2017)

Co-organized by the Delegation of Murcia of the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER), the Molina de Segura City Council and the Molina Hospital, and with the collaboration of the SMS and the FEM, this Conference will gather approximately one hundred Professionals related to rare diseases and patients and relatives.

During the presentation of the event, the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, the Councilor for Public Health of the Municipality of Molina de Segura, Esther Sánchez Rodríguez, the President of FEDER, Juan Carrión Tudela, and The Delegate of FEDER in the Region of Murcia, David Sánchez González -, the Managing Director of the Molina Hospital, Pedro Hernández Jiménez stressed the importance of holding Conferences like this one "with which we want to spread and raise awareness about the difficulties that This day is a way of giving voice to these diseases which, despite being called rare diseases, affect a large part of the world population, so it is necessary to direct the advances in Health towards the Improvement in the quality of life of these patients ".

The Journey will begin with an inaugural lecture by the Deputy Dean of Medicine of the UCAM, Dr. Jerónimo Lajara Blesa, on "New therapy for rare diseases."

Throughout the World Day of Rare Diseases (February 28), we will address the usefulness of Neuropsychology in rare diseases, the assessment of the disability of rare diseases and their care by Services Social and Adapted Sport in Molina de Segura, as well as services and resources in the Region of Murcia.

The inscriptions are free and must be done at www.molinadesegura.es or in Technical Secretariat (Department of Sports and Health: 968 388 520, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.).

They include breakfast, documentation of the Day and diploma of attendance and service of familiar respite for children of the attendees to the same.

On the following day, Sunday, February 26, the 6th Solidarity Race for Hope will be celebrated, with departure in the Plaza de España at 11.30 hours, on a circuit 500 meters, in the Company Park, for one hour.

Voluntary donation to the ERDF.

Free registration, from one hour before departure, and lots of gifts.

In addition, the photographic contest "Huellas de esperanza" will be held.
