The conference Equality in difference, by Remedios Maurandi Guirado, Professor emeritus of the Faculty of Social Work of the University of Murcia, will take place on Friday, February 24, at 6:00 pm, in the Plenary Hall of the City of Molina Of Segura.
This activity is included in the March 8 Program of the Department of Equality of the municipality of Mollina.
Remedios Maurandi Guirado
Born in Vélez Rubio (Almería, 1941), Maurandi lives in Murcia from the age of 8, with temporary stays at the end of the race in Almeria, Zaragoza and Pamplona.
She holds a degree in Philosophy and History and a Primary Teacher. She is an emeritus professor at the Faculty of Social Work, where she was a dean and in whose building she was given a classroom with her name in her retirement.
She has promoted Gender Studies at the University of Murcia, creating the Center for University Studies of Women (CEUMU).
He also promoted and started the University of the Elderly, collaborating for years in his teaching.
The fields of research in which he worked and continues to do so after retirement are: Seniors;
Immigration;
Inequality;
And Social history and gender (participating in debates on trafficking in women gender violence and female invisibility).
He has written and lectured throughout his university life.
Especially interested and studious of the Pioneers of Social Work and her birth in the nineteenth century, she has placed within our reach one of her foundational texts, 20 years in HullHouse by Jane Addams, American pioneer and suffragist, president of the International Women's League By La Paz and Libertad social reformer of reference in subjects on the women and the immigrants.

Remedios Maurandi is married, has three children and eight grandchildren.
He is concerned about the training of volunteers and adolescent drift.
