The Spring of Libro 2017 de Molina de Segura is celebrated from April 25 to May 12 (25/04/2017)

The program of activities for the Spring of the 2017 Book of Molina de Segura, organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Molina, was presented at a press conference on Tuesday 25 April, by the Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, and The Councilor for Culture, Pedro Jesús Martínez Baños.

The growing weight of Literature in Molina de Segura is reflected in the celebration of the Book Spring, which is held every year in the vicinity of Book Day.

This year, the program of this cultural event will cover from April 25 to May 12 and will feature, firstly, the presence of three first-line authors in the national literary scene, who will visit the city as guests to the Cycle Writers In his ink: Ray Loriga, Ignacio Martínez de Pisón and the caravaqueño Luis Leante, who will hold two consecutive meetings with students of Secondary Education around his youth novel Huye without looking back, brand new Edebé.

Two Moldovan adoption authors, who this year have published in national publishers, will also present their books.

It is Antonio Ruiz Munuera, winner of the 20th Nostromo Novel Prize with Fish Eye, and the youtuber Abbey C., pseudonym of the young Isabel Clemente, whose publisher Aguilar has published Urgent Message to my moments with you.

Also presented are the books Mentula, by Julia Robles, The secrets kept in the silence of the heart, Irel, and In the time of Tito Infante by Antonio Bravo Celiz.

The pianist Pilar Valero premieres in the literary lines with the historical Circle of Fine Arts of Murcia in the street Trapería (1902-1938).

Other events will be the presentation of the number 48 of the veteran magazine Molínea and the denominated Solidarity Firm, organized by Caritas Molina, in which Paco López Mengual and Juan de Dios Hernández Miñano will sign books of their authorship in the Mercadillo located in Calle Mayor, n 69, earmarking the collection for solidarity purposes.

Presents: Lola Grace.

Ray Loriga (Madrid, 1967) is one of the main exponents of the so-called Generation X in our country.

His first novel, The Worst of All, launched him to fame.

This work aesthetically approached the Beat Generation.

He made his film debut in 1997 with La pistola de mi hermano, adapted from his novel Caídos del cielo.

20.00 h., In Salvador García Aguilar Library, presentation of the novel Ojo de pez, by Antonio J. Ruiz Munuera.

Writers Elías Meana and Paco López Mengual and the photojournalist Paco Salinas intervene alongside the author.

Antonio J. Ruiz Munuera (Lorca, 1966), professor of Secondary in Lorquí, resides in Molina de Segura for 17 years.

Julia R. Robles (Vigo, 1969), works as a graphic designer in Santo Ángel, where she lives, but her intense literary activity has kept her closely linked to Molina de Segura.

He has obtained numerous prizes of story and published three books of the sort: the beautiful ones should die (Editorial Three Fronteras, 2009), Strange women of blue (XIV Prize Book Illustrated Delegation of Badajoz) and The naked mirror (Editions Glauco, 2013).

His first novel, Mentula, recounts the misadventures of Martina, a woman who one day turns magically into a transsexual.

From that moment, her attempts to adapt to that transformation will drag her into a succession of bizarre, surrealistic situations.

Mentula is a contemporary narrative in humor that hides, in a fresh and simple language, a denunciation against gender discrimination in all its forms.
