The City Council of Molina de Segura wants to commemorate the World Environment Day, which is celebrated on June 5, informing the population of the conservation, management, dissemination and participation programs in natural spaces, resources and projects for the Knowledge and collaboration of the population in its conservation.
Neither does it forget the urban environment, with proposals to raise awareness about issues such as waste or water, or make known its educational work with the youngest in the environmental education programs it develops.
From the Environmental Volunteer Program ¡Voluntarios Naturally !, developed by the Department of the Environment on the last Saturday of each month, a new activity in Las Lagunas de Campotéjar, dedicated to the monitoring of migratory birds, is proposed for Saturday, May 27.
The Alto del Rellano Nature Information Center proposes to participate on Sunday, May 28 in activities for the knowledge and conservation of the fauna with a guided tour of the Ecological Park Vicente Blanes and a workshop of troughs and waterfowl of birds.
On the other hand, the Municipal Forestry Brigade-SEF-Guarantee Juvenil will carry out, from Monday May 29 until Friday, June 9, cleaning works of ramblas, such as the Calderones, the Salinas and the Monjas and the Fuente de Setenil wetland .
On the afternoon of June 5, the Department of Environment celebrates the closure of the Environmental Education Program Molina, Discover your Environment, with the storyteller The adventures of a drop of water in the Salvador García Aguilar Library, to raise awareness among the youngest About the importance and good use of water.
On the same day, outside the Library, collaborating entities with the Department of Environment will announce the important work they develop at the social and environmental level through waste management.
Traperos de Emmaus Region of Murcia will install a stand to publicize their social and environmental work, municipal selective collection services in which they participate and solidarity projects, such as Trapería de Molina or www.librotraperos.com.
Visitors will be able to view a sample and purchase reused products, such as books and other products from the Trapería.
And the National Association Project Abraham will carry out handicraft workshops with waste material, to raise awareness about the reuse and conservation of the environment and to publicize its work of socio-labor insertion through the recovery of waste, as well as the services they provide In Molina.
