The Municipality of Molina de Segura, through the Department of Social Welfare and its Social Services Center, manages the Home Teleassistance Service through a contract with the Spanish Red Cross, Autonomous Office of Murcia.
This service responds to the need for security, listening, accompaniment and attention in critical or emergency situations of the people served.
The answer is immediate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
It makes use of communication and information technologies, through a fixed telephone line or a mobile telephone device, and a specific communications and computer equipment, located in a service center and in the domicile of the service holders.
The user of the service carries a device that, by simply pressing it, enters into a "hands-free" verbal contact with a center attended by personnel prepared to give adequate response to the need, either directly or, if required, other mobilization Resources (human and / or material) own or existing in the community.
The Teleassistance Service presents the following modalities: basic teleassistance, advanced teleassistance and mobile teleassistance.
The basic teleassistance is connected to a fixed telephone line;
Advanced teleassistance is a basic teleassistance supplemented with gas, smoke, drop, mobility or other devices;
And mobile teleassistance, aimed at users who do not have a fixed telephone line, uses mobile communication and tele-localization technology.
The total number of people assisted, in the municipality, in the Teleassistance Service amounts to 471, mainly women, residing alone, with more than 75 years of age.
Of the total referred to, as of April 30, 2017, 216 people are cared for by the Care System for the Dependency of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
The rest, 185 users, are serviced monthly, in charge of the municipal budget of the City of Molina de Segura, service awarded in Local Government Board held on January 10 of this year, the entity Red Cross Spanish Autonomous Office Region of Murcia in the amount of 15,200 euros.
Users served by the municipal budget contribute to the monthly cost of the service, as well as those paid by the Dependency Care System, according to the economic capacity (per capita income) of the family unit.
Since March 1, 2017, the monthly price paid for the service has been significantly reduced: from € 4.49 / month previously paid, now € 2.76 / month is paid;
From € 8.98 / month to € 5.53 / month;
From € 17.96 / month to € 11.06 / month;
From € 18.35 / month to € 13.55 / month;
And € 19.35 / month goes to € 13.55 / month.
