The Department of Education of the City of Madrid, through its Conservatory of Music, collaborates with the charity concert in favor of the Association ADIXMUR, whose headquarters is located in the town.
It is a non-profit association, made up of families and people directly or indirectly related to dyslexia and other learning difficulties, such as dysgraphia, dysortography, dyscalculia and attention deficit disorder.
It is estimated that 10% of the population suffers from dyslexia and that this is the cause of 40% of the cases of failure and / or dropping out of school.
Its main objectives, as an association, are to inform the people and families affected by these difficulties in the learning process, raise awareness of the existence of society, raise awareness among teachers and the different educational authorities, participate in the search for resources and specific methodology And to ensure the rights of affected children.
"Consciousness that is taken over by our Conservatory," said the Mayor, "who for several years has established in the Municipal School of Music a quota of places for children with learning difficulties."
