The act of signing the agreement between the City of Molina de Segura and the Dental Clinic of the Hospital de Molina to facilitate oral treatments to people in situation of social need took place today Tuesday June 27, in the municipality of Molina.
The Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, the Director of the Dental Clinic, Juan Francisco Piqueras Gómez, the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángel Navarro García, and the Medical Director of the Molina Hospital, Eduardo Rodríguez de la Vega, attended the meeting.
This agreement is implemented in response to the needs detected in different groups with serious difficulties, due to their economic situation (older, younger, people at risk of exclusion, etc.), to access oral treatments not covered by the health system.
Under this agreement, the Dental Clinic of the Hospital de Molina, in an altruistic way, offers a series of treatments that will benefit the citizens of the municipality who find themselves unable to reach the necessary treatment for their oral health.
In this way, it addresses the essential problems for the development of their lives in a standardized way and makes possible the prevention of other diseases derived from the absence of the mentioned treatments, as well as improving the self-esteem of the people and is facilitated in a transversal way Access to training and employability resources.
The agreement establishes the modality of total or partial gratuity of the treatment in function of the requirements established in said document.
The referral procedure to the Dental Clinic of the Hospital de Molina will be as follows: once the required requirements have been verified, and the documentation provided, the technicians of the Department of Social Welfare will issue a referral report on the following aspects:
- Compliance with prerequisites.
- Establishment of the amount of the treatment, according to the rates included in the agreement, from which free users can benefit.
The Dental Clinic of the Hospital de Molina de Segura will cover the free treatments that are derived to a total cost, together with the referrals made, of four thousand euros, as a social work.
The points of attention of Social Services to request these treatments are: La Cerámica, Las Balsas, San Roque, La Alcayna, Llano de Molina, Torrealta de Molina, La Ribera de Molina and El Fenazar.
The treatment will be carried out at the Dental Clinic of the Hospital de Molina, located at Calle Asociación, s / n.
