The act of signing the collaboration agreement between the City of Molina de Segura and the Solidarity and Reinsertion Foundation Project Man for the therapeutic-educational program to care for people with addiction problems took place today Wednesday, July 26, in the municipality of Molina .
The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, the President of the Foundation Solidarity and Reinsertion Foundation, Tomás Zamora Ros, the Director of the Murcia Man Project, Asunción Santos de Pascual, and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángel Navarro García, attended the event.
The objective of the agreement is to collaborate economically with Project Man to develop a therapeutic project that serves the population of the municipality that demands treatment for any type of addiction to toxic substances and other dependencies, with a municipal contribution amounting to a total of 34,000 euros.
Those who have problems related to the consumption of any type of psychoactive substance or with dependence on pathological gambling may be beneficiaries of this agreement and are residents of the municipality and their families.
During the year 2016 the entity has attended a total of 35 people from Molina de Segura, who have been referred by the technicians of the Department of Social Welfare.
The Fundación Solidaridad y Reinserción Proyecto Hombre is an entity that was born in 1984 at the national level and began to operate in Murcia in 1995. The City Council of Molina de Segura has maintained a collaboration agreement for years.
The organization develops several programs for the treatment of people with problems of toxic consumption.
It has several resources for people who demand a treatment, such as host floor, day care center and therapeutic community.
Within the therapeutic educational program that the organization develops the following actions stand out:
Incorporation of the person who demands treatment for addiction problems in any of the programs that the entity has: Basic Program, Therapeutic Community, Reinsertion, Night Program, and Adolescent Program.
The organization also develops drug prevention programs, aimed at adolescents, such as the Puzzle and Entretodos, carried out within the school environment and with young people at social risk.
Workshop for parents, aimed at working with families whose children are at social risk and / or need support, guidance, behavior related to the consumption of toxicants or other dependencies.
The Foundation has a Director and a work team formed between 25 and 30 therapists;
Among them, social educators, social workers, psychologists and teachers.
According to the Councilor for Social Welfare, Angel Navarro, "the consumption of toxic substances is increasingly common in our society and the earliest start ages, which is a very important challenge for public entities, whose goal is to delay These consumptions and, in those cases that already exist, put adequate resources for their treatment ".
