The act of signing the collaboration agreement between the Municipality of Molina de Segura and Caritas Interparroquial of the town for the development of actions of reception, basic care and accompaniment to people in situation of serious social exclusion and / or vulnerability took place today Thursday 21 of September, in the consistory mills.
The Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, the Coordinator of Cáritas in Molina de Segura, Pedro Mondéjar Lorca, and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángel Navarro García attended.
The agreement provides for a municipal subsidy for a total amount of 60,000 euros for this year 2017. The objectives pursued by this agreement are:
Facilitate people and families in situations of extreme vulnerability to cover basic needs due to material poverty.
Attention to those people who, due to a social emergency, urgently need support in food, health, housing, education, transportation and / or personal and family documentation.
According to the Councilor for Social Welfare, "poverty and increasing social inequality increasingly affect access to fundamental rights and, in turn, the most basic needs for a healthy development of life. precarious economic conditions become more frequently ill and their general health and well-being are below average. Addressing these needs is essential and, for this purpose, it is important and positive to support municipal entities working in that direction, as in this case Cáritas de Molina de Segura, which attends about 500 families of the municipality annually ".
The beneficiaries of the project are:
Long-term unemployed people, recent unemployed or from low-skilled jobs who, because of lack of income or because they are receiving benefits, can not cover basic needs, and most of them have minors.
Pensioners (with non-contributory pensions or minimum pensions) that do not cover basic basic expenses.
Single-parent families, with family responsibilities, generally not shared, and with problems of family and work-life balance.
Mixed coexisting units composed of several generations that can not emancipate their members due to lack of economic income.
People with trajectory of shelters or life in the street.
Caritas aims to carry out the Church's Charitable and Social Action in the Diocese.
Through Caritas Interparroquial in Molina de Segura, whose center is located in Calle Oriente, No. 7 (belongs to the Parish of Our Lady of the Assumption), offers resources and addresses situations that affect the most vulnerable population Township.

Reception and Accompaniment to People in Situation Homeless, access to services of showers, food and urban and interurban transport.
Itineraries of socio-labor insertion for the acquisition of tools and skills that improve the employability of the participants.
Payment of administrative fees for documentation.
Cáritas de Molina de Segura has a Social Worker and a Volunteer Team in Social Intervention, in which 21 volunteers work.
