The act of signing the collaboration agreement between the Municipality of Molina de Segura and the Shared Home Association for the collective housing project for older people took place today Thursday, October 5, in the municipality of Molina.
The Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, the President of the Shared House Association of Molina de Segura, Consuelo González Serrano, and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángel Navarro García, attended the event.
The Local Government Board approved this agreement, which provides for a subsidy of 20,000 euros, and whose objectives are: to collaborate economically with this entity, which offers an alternative accommodation resource to senior citizens of the municipality who can not remain in their habitual residence;
and provide a social emergency for elderly people in situations of social vulnerability and / or social risk and who urgently need accommodation.
The Shared Home Association has other specific objectives:
Offer a comprehensive residential care service.
Provide socio-health care to residents of the center.
Develop a program of play and cognitive activities.
Promote the participation of family members and social volunteers.
The Collective Housing is a resource that offers Shared Home and is intended for the population of older people, men and women over 65 years of age in the municipality of Molina de Segura, who have a grade II and III rating of dependency, and who need care and health care residency.
For this, the entity counts on 14 places agreed with the IMAS.
For those elderly people in the municipality who are in a situation of social vulnerability and / or social risk as a result of difficulties or problems in their usual home, Shared Home makes available to the City of Molina de Segura a residential care center that covers these social emergency situations.
The Shared Home Association of Molina de Segura has a long experience in the development of a collective housing project for the elderly.
This new way of coexistence aims to keep the elderly person in their environment, facilitating their individual and collective integration, as there is no family uprooting.
It is a service that guarantees a way of life similar to the one of its own home, with the improvement that it has all the necessary professionals of continuous form to cover the needs of the residents.
The actions are directed to the integral attention of the people residing in the Collective Housing and are summarized in the following:
Accommodation and support
Geriatric care,
Occupational Therapy Activities.
Activities of stimulation and capacity building.
Specific activities.
The Collective Housing is located in Calle Adolfo Suárez, n ° 29, in Molina de Segura, in a public municipal building and assigned to the Shared House Association to carry out the project.
The Housing has a director, a person of administration / governanta, a doctor, a nurse, a social worker / occupational therapist, a cook and 7 auxiliary health professionals and physiotherapist-podiatrist (as a professional outside the entity itself).
