The Municipality of Molina de Segura, through the Department of Education, has awarded grants, for a total amount of 73,960 euros, to the associations of mothers and fathers of students (AMPAS) of 19 primary and secondary schools in the town supported by public funds for the realization of Extracurricular Formative Activities during the 2016/2017 academic year.
The AMPAS received by these municipal subsidies correspond to the following centers: CEIP Sacred Heart, CC Sagrada Familia, CEIP Nª Sª de la Consolación, CEIP Tierno Galván, CEIP Cervantes, CC Vicente Medina, CEIP San Miguel, CEIP San Antonio, CEIP El Romeral , CEIP The Siphon, CEIP Nª Sª de Fátima, CEIP Gregorio Miñano, CC El Taller, CEIP La Purísima, CEIP Maestro Francisco Martínez Bernal, CEIP Ntra. Sra. De los Remedios, CEI Paseo Rosales, CEIP Vega del Segura, and CEIP Campo of Molina.
This year marks the fourteenth anniversary of the launch of this initiative, created in 2003/2004.
In 2016/2017, the agreements have been signed with 19 schools in Molina de Segura (16 public centers and 3 concerted centers), in which a total of 139 workshops / activities are organized in 125 sports and 14 cultural centers.
A total of 1,740 students participate in it.
The economic contribution made by the City during this course is distributed at a rate of 520 euros per activity, plus 80 euros supplement for those activities included in the Sports and Health Program, for the purchase of sports equipment.
On the other hand, the associations of mothers and fathers of students commit themselves to coordinate the projects of extracurricular activities that take place in the centers, as well as to hire the qualified personnel to carry them out.
