The Molina de Segura City Council launches the Program of Environmental Education Activities Recycles and Breathes, aimed at groups and citizen associations (14/11/2017)

Recycle and Respira is the proposal of Environmental Education for groups and citizen associations with which the Department of Environment of the City of Molina de Segura aims to raise awareness about the importance of recycling and its collaboration in environmental improvement of the city.

The offer of activities is based on the knowledge of local reality and affects the importance of individual actions and their impact on the municipality's environment:


Participatory workshop to work on the relationship between recycling, the problem of air pollution and climate change.


Analysis of the environmental reality of our neighborhood / city through a tour of the most immediate environment, collecting data and images to reflect on its sustainability and make proposals for improvement actions, aimed at the construction of an environmentally sustainable city, making special emphasis on those aspects related to waste and the selective separation of them.


Visit the Ecoparque municipal to know the correct separation of the different types of waste that are deposited in it and what is done with them later.


Workshop to assess the impact of our consumption habits on the environment, the influence of advertising and how to direct our actions towards responsible and environmentally sustainable consumption.

Approximate duration of 1.5 hours.

The Recycle and Breathe Program is part of the project launched by the Molina de Segura City Council, in which, along with the installation of bins for selective collection in public buildings, activities to raise awareness and environmental education for workers and users of these buildings.

Project developed in collaboration with Ecoembes, the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia and the Autonomous Comunicad of the Region of Murcia, through the General Directorate of Quality and Environmental Assessment.

According to the Councilor for the Environment, Juan Alcaide Quirós, "more than 50 training and information actions have already been developed for workers in public buildings, to whom I thank their interest and collaboration, and now we address groups, groups and associations that use these spaces, to which I encourage them to participate and to be actively and responsibly involved with our city. "
