Molina de Segura celebrates the International Day of Educating Cities on Thursday, November 30 (28/11/2017)

On the occasion of the International Day of Educating Cities, which takes place on Thursday, November 30, the City of Molina de Segura, through the Department of Education, has organized a program of events, which has been presented at a press conference today Tuesday, November 28, by the Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, the Councilor for Education, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, and the Director of CEIP Cervantes, Isabel Mª Martínez Ortega.

Molina de Segura is a member of the International Association of Educating Cities since 2012, and before the proximity to November 25, INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN, it is necessary to intervene co-educating, beginning in the educational field and in a transversal way in order to make people more dialoguing and respectful towards what surrounds us.

Coeducation is a guarantee for the prevention of violence, and equality between men and women.

Among other activities, the Department of Education has scheduled a tribute to the figure of the Madrid poet Gloria Fuertes, coinciding with the centenary of his birth, and what he has represented as a poet and person in our country.

Gloria fuertes was born on July 28, 1917, and was cataloged as a poet for children and one of the female voices of postwar poetry.

Much of his poetry is characterized by using humor to alter reality and criticize society.

The program of events takes place on Thursday, November 30, from 09.30 to 12:00, at the Virginia Martínez Fernández Auditorium (MUDEM), and is as follows:

09.30 hours, visit to the exhibition of children's illustrations of the book Retablillo para un Poeta, by Carmen Carrillo Ortega (biography about Miguel Hernández).

10.00 am, presentation of the event, by the Councilor for Education, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez.

10.05 am, reading of the manifesto of the International Day of Educating Cities.

10.10 hours, presentation of the figure of Gloria Fuertes, and recital of poetry in charge of performing arts students of the 2nd year of Bachillerato of the IES Eduardo Linares Lumeras.

10.20 hours, recital of poetry by students of:

3rd year of Primary Education of CEIP Cervantes: BIOGRAPHY OF GLORIA FUERTES, FISH GOES TO SCHOOL, DOÑA LOBA BEHIND THE BROOM AND HOW A SHARK IS DRAWN.

3rd year of Primary Education of the CEIP Consolation: LA PANDA DE LOS MOCOSOS, EL LEÓN AND THE GIRL and WORKED AT THE CIRCUS.

3rd and 4th year of Primary Education at CEIP Tierno Galván: HOW TO DRAW A CHILD, EVERYTHING IS IN YOUR SITE, LAUGHTER, DOÑA PITURRA, MY REDONDITA FACE AND THE SNOW MAN.

10.45 am, performance of the theater play LAS TRES REINAS MAGAS, by Gloria Fuertes, by the performing arts students of the 2nd year of Bachillerato of the IES Eduardo Linares.

11.00 am, thanks and gift delivery to the participating centers for their collaboration in the celebration of the International Day of Educating Cities.
