The Molina de Segura City Council, in view of the increase in illegal deposits of household goods and bulky waste on public roads (mainly in industrial estates), and with the aim of optimizing the collection of commercial cardboard and improving civic awareness in the care of cleaning the urban environment, has launched a series of measures aimed at solving these problems related to the environment, avoid the extra cost involved and make visible the efforts made by the City, through SERCOMOSA, in the cleaning of the municipality.
These measures are carried out in a coordinated manner between the departments of Public Roads, Environment, Commerce and Local Police, the Association of Commerce and Professionals of Molina COM-PRO and the municipal company SERCOMOSA.
Among the measures that have been put in place, the following stand out:
Distribution, in the industrial estates, company to company, through Local Police and technicians of the City Council and SERCOMOSA, of an informative circular on the problem of the proliferation of voluminous waste and equipment, the alternatives for the management of the same and the obligations and sanctions that the current legislation establishes.
Meeting with the Association of Commerce and Professionals of Molina COM-PRO, yesterday, Monday, January 15, for the sharing of points of view regarding the issue of paper-board management and the coordination of concrete improvement actions, such as the delivery in hand, trade to trade, through Local Police and City Council technicians and SERCOMOSA, an informative circular on the frequencies and schedules of waste collection, advice on its management, communication channels with the City Council and SSERCOMOSA, promotion of the use of the municipal App Cuida Molina, etc., as well as the obligations and sanctions that the current legislation establishes.
Placement of stickers in containers on the sanctioning consequences of non-compliance with the obligations regarding waste management.
On the other hand, another series of actions related to certain basic civic standards on the management of certain waste will be launched and summarized as follows:
Sending informative brochures, along with water bills.
Distribution of posters in official centers, schools, municipal offices, sports centers, etc.
Informative signs in the garbage collection containers remembering the service provided by the collection of household items, as well as the telephone number to which to go (606 20 50 00).
All the measures cited in the three indicated topics (equipment in polygons, cardboard in commercial zones and civic norms of general character to the citizenship) will be accompanied with an increase of the vigilance on the part of Local Police, through the Unit of Environment (UMA), in order to improve compliance with the standards in relation to the management of all this waste.
The Councilor of Public Roads, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, thanked "the collaboration to all citizens to get clean Molina de Segura."
