The act of presentation of the bookAsunta, witness of God and woman of the town, of Fernando Bermúdez López, will take place on February 2, at 7:30 p.m., at the Salvador García Aguilar Library (at Avenida del Chorrico, n ° 44). , along with the author, Fulgen Ruiz, representing the basic Christian communities, Juan Serrano, friend of Asunta, and Domingo Pérez, singer-songwriter and music therapist.

Fernando Bermúdez López (Alguazas, 1943) holds a Diploma in Medicine and Surgery from the Complutense University of Madrid, a degree in Religious Sciences from the San Dámaso School of Theology in Madrid, a Bachelor's Degree in Theology, in the specialty of Spirituality and Ethics, from the University Landívar of Guatemala, and Diploma in Human Rights by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
He has worked as a missionary in Guatemala for 30 years, working in the defense and promotion of human rights.
He has carried out pastoral work with Guatemalan refugees in Chiapas, Mexico.
In 2007, he was declared a distinguished citizen for his work in defense of human rights, granted by the Republic of Guatemala.
And in 2008 he was awarded the Golden Shield of the Villa by the City of Alguazas, next to a plaza in the center of the town.

Asunta has been committed to defending the rights of working women in factories.
All his life, up to his 86 years, was a living testimony of deep faith in the God of Life.
