Local residents can make a personalized payment plan for up to 12 months without interest
The Community will manage from today the Tax on the Increase in the Value of the Land of Urban Nature (IIVTNU), commonly known as surplus value, for the City of Molina de Segura.
This was pointed out by the Minister of Finance and Public Administration, Andrés Carrillo, during his visit to the office of the Tax Agency of the Murcia Region of the town.
"This is an example of collaboration between municipalities and regional administration with very good results for both," said the counselor.
"For 9 months we have been working together to collect part of the taxes of the City Council and, in view of the results of this good collaboration, today we add a new tax, the capital gains tax".
The Molina de Segura City Council has an agreement with the Tax Agency of the Region of Murcia (ATRM) since April in which it delegates the management, settlement, inspection and collection in the voluntary and executive period of the Tax on Economic Activities (IAE), and , from today, the Tax on the Increase in the Value of Urban Land.
In addition, the ATRM also manages for the City Council the executive of the rest of the taxes and other revenues from public law.
In the nine months it has been in operation, the municipal office has served 33,000 people and has managed 122,520 debts for an amount of 27 million euros.
Carrillo stressed that "the office is working very well, giving a good service to citizens, who do not have to travel for any procedure, and also can establish a personalized plan that allows deferring payments in up to 12 installments without interest."
Advance of 100,000 euros per month
This agreement supposes a saving of costs for the consistory, at the same time that they have specialized technical personnel at your service.
Also, the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, through the ATRM, maintains an agreement with the City through which they receive a monthly payment of 90 percent of the collection amounting to 100,000 euros per month, "which benefits the coffers municipal and provides liquidity to provide their services and all aspects related to payments in the locality, "said Carrillo.
The head of the Treasury highlighted the "will of the regional government to support the local administration", making available material, human and financial resources of the Community that "allow improving the management and tax collection of municipalities."
Currently, the regional Tax Agency has signed agreements in tax matters with 62 public entities, of which 32 are city councils.
The regional tax office currently has a network of 30 offices spread throughout the Region in which a comprehensive tax service is provided, so that any neighbor can make their arrangements in any of the offices of their municipality.
