The Metal Wind Department of the Professional Conservatory of Music Maestro Jaime Lopez of Molina de Segura organizes a Master Class of Trombone, by trombone soloist of the National Orchestra of Spain Edmundo Vidal, directed to the students of the specialty of trombone, on Wednesday 7 February, at 4.30 pm, at the Virginia Martínez Fernández Auditorium (at the MUDEM).
Edmundo Vidal is trombone soloist of the National Orchestra of Spain, member of the brass quintet Capital Brass Quintet and trombone group Trobada.
He has been Professor of Degree in Music at the Francisco de Vitoria University of Madrid and Professor at the professional conservatories of Ávila and Palencia.
His interest in pedagogy leads him to collaborate frequently in the pedagogical and social inclusion projects organized by his orchestra.
He has been invited as a teacher to courses and master classes in various points of the national geography, such as Albaida, Conservatory of Alicante, Conservatory of Murcia, Conservatory of Molina del Segura, Ăscar (Valladolid), as well as professor and / or court in groups , like the Young National Orchestra of Spain, Young Orchestra of Extremadura, Young Orchestra of the Community of Madrid and Young Band of Castilla y León.
He was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Spain.
He has collaborated with various orchestras, such as ORTVE, OS Murcia, OS Extremadura, ORCAM, OC Granada, or Navarra.
He was also invited by the World Philharmonic Orchestra to a tour of France.
As a soloist, he has interpreted the Concerto by L. Grondahl and Colors of B. Appertmont.
He finished his studies at the Superior Conservatory of Murcia with Professor Mario Calvo, where he won the Final Career Award.
The Federation of Bands of the Valencian Community awards the Euterpe'03 prize.
He currently combines his professional trombonist facet with the Orchestra conducting studio.
