The Museums Visítanos program, main offer of the program of activities of the Department of Tourism of Molina de Segura for this year 2018 (08/02/2018)

The Department of Tourism of the City of Molina de Segura has launched the program of activities Visits Museums 2018, which offers the possibility of knowing the Interpretation Center The Albarda Rites and Traditions of Campo de Molina, the Ethnographic Museum Carlos Soriano de El Llano de Molina and the Horno del Concejo Museum and Casa del Folklore, together with workshops for a family audience, the first, second and third Sunday of the month, for the general population, from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm, less in the months of July and August, that these centers remain closed.

Said program, together with the rest of activities of the Department of Tourism for the year 2018, have been presented at a press conference today, Thursday, February 8, by the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, the Councilor for Tourism, Andrés Martínez Cervantes, and the person in charge of the company Aldaba Congresos, Mª Carmen Dengra.

The Department of Tourism also proposes activities that take place from Monday to Thursday for concert groups (educational centers, associations, cultural centers, etc., of the municipality and the Region) for the visit to any of these centers.

- The Carlos Soriano Ethnographic Museum is located in the old manor house that this lawyer had in his agricultural colony of El Llano de Molina de Segura and was inaugurated on May 17, 2003. Last year 2017, the Museums Visits Program received a total of 2,284 visitors between schoolchildren and other groups in the workshops.

The Interpretation Center La Albarda Rites and Traditions of Campo de Molina counted 329 visitors and the Carlos Soriano Ethnographic Museum of El Llano, with 296 visitors;

to those who joined, every Saturday afternoon and Sunday, in the Oven of the Council and House of Folklore, 1,154 people.

This year, as a novelty, in Museums, first of all, the participation of local associations wishing to collaborate in topics such as Astronomy, Photography, Theater, etc., will add value to each activity.

Another novelty for this year is the realization of a Training Course on Municipal Tourist Resources, which will be held on September 27, at the MUDEM, on the occasion of World Tourism Day.

The management of these programs is awarded to the company Aldaba Servicios Turísticos y Culturales, which provides official tourism guides, being the staff of the Social and Labor Integration Exchange of Molina de Segura.

Also, the Department of Tourism offers visitors, at the Center Los Postigos, TEMPORARY EXHIBITION PROGRAM, all of them local and regional artists, which, since its opening, has had more than 35 exhibitions of artists as renowned as Pepe Yagües .

At this moment, it has the painting exhibition Portraits and Nudes, by Rengo and Pepe Alarcón, which will continue until June: Trazo 6, from Grupo de Arte y Creación;

and Moments, by María José Giner and Carmen López, from Asociación Amigos de la Pintura by Puente Tocinos.
