The opening ceremony of the International Meeting of Teachers of the Erasmus + Project of strategic partnerships Identity, recognition and tolerance School museums as a way of sharing the cultures of the diverse school population (Identity, Recognition, Tolerance-School Museums as a Way of Sharing the Cultures of the Diverse School Population) in which teachers of eight nationalities participate, took place today, Wednesday, February 14, at the IES Eduardo Linares Lumeras de Molina de Segura.
The Councilor for Education of the Molinense City Council, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, attended.
This project, which runs from October 2017 to October 2019, focuses on the educational purposes and benefits of the creation of a school museum and the introduction of elements of Museum education in partner schools.
The curricula will focus on the promotion of the multicultural diversity of these schools.
The objective of the initiative is to develop "guidelines for the creation of a school museum" through four phases: initiation, planning, establishment and operation of real and virtual school museums in the institutions of the partners.
The program, whose vehicular language is English, has the participation of eight countries: Italy (coordinating center), Spain, Portugal, France, Slovenia, Hungary, Poland and Bulgaria.
The first meeting of teachers, with which he started to shoot the project, took place last November in Italy.
This week's meeting in Molina de Segura has the participation of 22 professors from the European centers involved in the project, in addition to the teachers of the IES Eduardo Linares Lumeras.
Until the end of the project, it is planned to hold four more meetings, to be held in Slovenia, Hungary (with the participation of teachers and students in this case), France and Portugal.
At the November meeting in Italy, the program of activities for each of the meetings was designed.
In the case of the one that takes place this week in Molina de Segura, the preparation of five workshops to be carried out by the students of the participating centers was determined.
The event at the IES Eduardo Linares Lumeras has had two very different parts: a first institutional one;
and a second one of work, in which the professors involved in the project have participated.
After the first institutional part, a conference was held by the retired teacher of the IES Salvador Sandoval of Las Torres de Cotillas, Blas Miras, entitled The practice of the museum with children in pre-school education.
The closing of this part has been carried out by the choir of students of the center.
Then the work meetings have arrived.
