Four Community projects allow the hiring of 32 unemployed young people from Molina de Segura for a year (31/03/2018)

In the practical phase, they will develop works that will benefit the public facilities of the municipality

The Ministry of Employment, Universities and Enterprise, through the SEF, has granted a grant of 367,000 euros to the City of Molina de Segura for the implementation of four programs that offer training and paid work experience for twelve months to a total of 32 unemployed in the municipality between 16 and 24 years.

These mixed employment and training programs have already started and will develop works of social interest for the locality.

The objective is to provide qualification and contact with the labor market to people away from it, who usually lack accredited training, and which have been derived by the Employment Office of Molina de Segura.

Since the programs lead to the obtaining of a certificate of professionalism, this lack of qualification is alleviated and the options of accessing a later job are significantly increased.

Each of the four programs is composed of eight student-workers, who will develop, respectively, the specialties of 'Installation of furniture', 'Welding', 'Auxiliary operations of masonry of factories and roofs', and' Operations of plumbing and heating -climatization domestic.

In the practical phase, they will carry out works that will benefit the public facilities of the municipality.

The general director of the SEF, Alejandro Zamora, stressed that "there are young unemployed whose educational profile is far from what is required by the current labor market, so they need a certificate of professionalism, that is, not only require work experience, but also training and accreditation, and that is precisely what we offer with these programs. "

In addition, he affirmed that "they are projects that generate in the unemployed a positive dynamic of continuous learning, which is reinforced by the performance of works or services of social utility, and it must be emphasized that these are especially beneficial programs for groups with difficulties of insertion, as is the case of the long-term unemployed ".

Access requirements

Student-workers participating in programs leading to a more basic certificate of professionalism, that is, level 1, did not need to meet any academic or professional requirements.

This is the case of the two masonry and plumbing programs.

On the other hand, to access the furniture installation and welding programs, it was necessary to be in possession of the ESO degree.

The selection tests of unemployed candidates included a questionnaire of basic general culture and psychosocial skills, after which the personal interview phase was accessed for the final election.

The recruitment of student-workers will be formalized after the three-month phase of training, through a contract for training and learning for nine months.
