The Molina de Segura City Council places at the disposal of the Government Delegation local police agents to create a permanent response operative group to prevent crime (02/04/2018)

The Mayor, Esther Clavero has chaired the extraordinary and urgent meeting of the Local Security Board, today Monday April 2, which has analyzed the situation of citizen security of the municipality after the recent assaults on housing in developments

The Local Safety Board of Molina de Segura held an extraordinary and urgent meeting today, Monday, April 2, at the City Council, presided over by the Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira.

The First Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Citizen Security, Fernando Miñana Hurtado, the Second Deputy Mayor, Ángel Navarro García, the Emergency General Sub-Director of the Region of Murcia, Diego del Rey Carrión, the Chief of Staff of the Government Delegation in the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Ana Belén Navarro Iglesias, the Deputy Inspector of the Local Police, José Pérez Almagro, the Chief Inspector of the Police Station of the National Police in Molina de Segura, Pedro Arbizu Bonel, General Secretary of the City Council, María Dolores Martín-Gil García, Spokesperson of the Municipal Group of the Popular Party, Sonia Carrillo Mármol, Spokesperson of the Municipal Group Win Molina, Antonio López Vidal, Councilor not attached Trinidad Romero Sánchez, Councilor not attached Stanislaus Vidal Pujante, and the representative of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations Interbarrios, Eusebia Bravo Martínez.

At the meeting, an analysis was made of the current situation of crime in the municipality and of citizen security in the urbanizations, after the criminal acts that took place in the last days in the municipality, with assaults inside homes.

As reported by the Mayor, the City of Molina de Segura has demanded the Delegation of the Government in the Region of Murcia the creation of a Response Task Force (GOR), mixed and permanent, which would be formed equally by agents of the National Police Force and the Local Police of Molina de Segura.

"Prevention is much more efficient than reaction, for which sufficient means are not always available, which is why we firmly believe that the implementation of a Response Task Force would contribute decisively to improving citizen security. In the municipality, for this purpose, the government team has made available to the Government Delegation between 4 and 6 local police officers to create said GOR, "says Esther Clavero.

Next week will be convened a new extraordinary meeting of the Local Safety Board, in which the Government Delegation should respond to the demands of the Molinense City Council.

Meanwhile, the Mayor has sent a message of tranquility to the residents of the developments, and announced that it has already launched, today, a special security device in these areas, composed of local police officers and National Police .

And he recalled that, according to the data provided by the Delegation of the Government, the crime rate has fallen in the last year in the municipality.
