#WorldHealthDay: #HealthForAll Health for all (05/04/2018)

One more year, the Molina Hospital joins the celebration, on Saturday, April 7, of World Health Day.

Under the slogan "Health for all", with this commemoration the World Health Organization (WHO) seeks a greater commitment of world leaders with concrete measures that promote the health of all people, with special emphasis on Universal Health Coverage , as a key strategy to move towards the achievement of other objectives related to health and development broader.

In this sense, the Hospital de Molina joins the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), approved by the United Nations in 2015, with specific commitments to SDG 3 "Health and Wellbeing" and SDG 17 "Partnerships to achieve the objectives" .

Thus, with respect to SDG 3, through its Health Promotion and Dissemination Program and its Communication Plan, it promotes the mental health and wellbeing of citizens;

strengthens the prevention of the abuse of addictive substances, including the misuse of narcotics and drugs, and the harmful use of alcohol;

contributes to more information and training on sexual health and family planning;

and, in short, it contributes to promote in their social environment, the growing acquisition of healthy habits.

With its membership in the Network of Tobacco Free Hospitals of the Region of Murcia, integrated in turn into the European Network of Smoke Free Hospitals, Molina Hospital implements European standards for Smoke Free Hospitals (training, smoking cessation, smoking cessation promotion of health, etc.), with which it contributes to strengthening the application of the Framework Convention of the World Health Organization for Tobacco Control.

And through its Environmental Management System, certified by the ISO 14001 standard, it contributes to environmentally preserve its closest environment to avoid diseases caused by dangerous chemicals and air, water and soil pollution.

Regarding ODS 17, the Hospital de Molina - through the assistance and hospital service concerts with the Murcian Health Service (SMS), insurance and traffic companies, and labor mutuals, helps to guarantee accessibility to public health and quality for everybody.

In addition, it establishes public-private partnership partnerships to develop health programs aimed at citizens, to contribute to the practical training of students and health professionals and to provide surgical and hospital equipment and health volunteering to developing countries.
