Mariano Peña arrives at the Teatro Villa de Molina with OBRA DE DIOS on Saturday, April 14 (12/04/2018)

The well-known film and television actor Mariano Peña becomes the Lord of the Universe in the comedy that has triumphed in New York.

On Saturday, April 14, at 9:00 pm, the Villa de Molina Theater (at Avenida del Chorrico, no. 10) will host OBRA DE DIOS, written by David Javerbaum and directed by Tamzin Townsend, a co-production of Txalo Producciones and Pentación Espectáculos.

Bernabé Fernández and Chema Rodríguez-Calderón complete the cast of this critically acclaimed production.

The price of the ticket is 18 euros.

About the protagonist

Born in Manzanilla (Huelva), Mariano Peña took his first steps as an actor in dubbing and theater, a medium in which he began with the play La hermosa hembra.

It has been the voice of characters like the master Kame Sennin of Dragon Ball, in addition to having participated in some of the most successful series of recent years, such as Compañeros, Hospital Central, Los Serrano or Aída, in which he played Mauricio Colmenero, paper for which he has received multiple awards.

In the cinema, she has been part of feature films such as La luz prodigiosa, Reinas y No lla llames amor, call it X. She has also starred in great musicals such as Priscilla, Reina del Desierto, in which she played the transsexual Bernardette Basinger.

About the director

Born in England, TamzinTownsed is one of the names most associated with theatrical success in Spain.

He began his career in Barcelona, ​​directing productions of great reception such as Bones Festes or El Diari d'Anna Frank.

He has also directed several of Jordi Galcerán's works, such as Palabras Chained, Carnavala or Fuga.

With more than 40 theatrical productions behind him, Townsend has worked on all kinds of texts, from classics such as Shakespeare and Zorrilla to contemporaries such as Yasmine Reza or Sharman Macdonald.

She is currently the coordinator of the Degree in Performing Arts of the European University of Madrid.
