The Third Meeting of Reading Clubs of the Region of Murcia will meet on Saturday April 21 in Molina de Segura to more than 120 participants, who will follow the ten communications presented.
This meeting, organized by the Culture Department of the Molinense City Council, through the Network of Municipal Libraries, and in collaboration with the Regional Library, this year has as its central theme Young readers, future presents, and is active with the hashtag # 3ECLRM in the social network Twitter.
The day, which will be held at the Auditorium Virginia Martínez Fernández of MUDEM, will begin at 09:00 hours, with the reception and delivery of documentation to the participants.
The official opening, scheduled for 0 9.30 am, will be borne by the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment of the Region of Murcia, Javier Celdrán Lorente, and the Councilor for Culture , Pedro Jesús Martínez Bańos.
The writers of children's and young people's literature, Marisa López Soria and Marta Zafrilla, will be two of the speakers of this meeting, in which representatives of various reading clubs will also participate with their communications.
This meeting is also a magnificent showcase to publicize the historical and cultural heritage of Molina de Segura.
To do this, a visit to the MUDEM has been organized, which houses part of the medieval wall of the town, and a tour of the stories and legends of the municipality by the Molino writer Paco López Mengual.
Meetings of Reading Clubs of the Region of Murcia have been held annually since 2016. The first of them took place in Cieza and last year was held in Mazarrón.
This type of activity aims to share the experiences, projects and concerns of reading clubs, collectives that agglutinate in the Region of Murcia to a good number of readers, who meet to discuss the books they have previously read.
