Jaime López de Molina de Segura Professional Music Conservatory schedules new activities from April 23 to 26 (19/04/2018)

The Professional Conservatory of Music Maestro Jaime Lopez of Molina de Segura organizes new activities for the days 23, 24 and 26 of April, a metal wind instrument cleaning workshop, an Oboe Master Class, and a concert of the Massotti Saxophone Ensemble , of the Manuel Massotti Littel Music Conservatory, respectively.

The metal wind instrument cleaning workshop will take place on Monday, April 23, at 6:00 pm, at the Virginia Martínez Fernández Auditorium (MUDEM), by the luthier André Kuhlmann, aimed at students of Trumpet, Horn, Trombone and Tuba .

The oboe Master Class, by Juan Carlos Sánchez Cánovas, professor of Oboe and Chamber Music at the Conservatory of Music of Caravaca de la Cruz, addressed to the students of this specialty, will take place on Tuesday, April 24, at 4:00 p.m. hours, at the Virginia Martínez Fernández Auditorium (MUDEM).

Juan Carlos Sánchez Cánovas, born in Cabezo de Torres and trained in the youth music group of the same locality, is Professor of Music in the specialty of Oboe at the Conservatory of Music of Murcia, with Professor Francisco José Valero Castell, and Postgraduate in instrumental interpretation at the Higher Conservatory of Music of the Liceu in Barcelona, ​​with Professor José Manuel González Monteagudo.

Collaborating member of the City of Elche Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, is Professor of Oboe in the music schools of Cabezo de Torres, Guadalupe and Caravaca de la Cruz, and Professor of Oboe and Chamber Music in the Conservatory of Music of Caravaca de la Cruz.

He is also Professor of Music Mind Games.

Finally, the concert of the Massotti Saxophone Ensemble, from the Manuel Massotti Littel Music Conservatory, led by Antonio Salas Pérez, who plays the Saxophone Chair at the Conservatory, will take place on Thursday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m. the Virginia Martínez Fernández Auditorium (MUDEM).

Although the Mediterranean Saxophone Ensemble existed previously, also formed by students from the center, the current set is officially formed in the 2001-02 academic year, as a result of the new incorporation of the Saxophone Ensemble course, contemplated in the Higher Grade curriculum. LOGSE and, at the same time, of the interest, the illusion and the restlessness to work the chamber music, giving to know the wide repertoire, showing at the same time the great capacity of adaptation and the extraordinary technical and expressive possibilities of the family of the full saxophones.

On the other hand, this subject is an immediate way of collective formation and individual improvement that contributes to the enrichment and motivation of each and every one of the components, allowing to stimulate the work of learning made throughout the course.

After a long career of more than a hundred concerts, the Massotti Saxophone Ensemble already has an extensive and continuous activity of concerts in different cycles, congresses and exchanges at a national level, especially throughout the Region of Murcia and neighboring communities, fostering and spreading the saxophone and Spanish music composed for this fantastic modality.

Its repertoire is made up of original works, contemporary music, jazz, film soundtracks and a rigorous selection of arrangements, transcriptions and adaptations, many of them made as works of the subject, by the group's own members.

Alto Saxophones: Laura Penalva Martinez, Adrián Rojas Yarritu, María Yuri Youn García from Alcaraz, Juan Carlos Collado Castillo and José David Díaz Caparros.

Tenor saxophones: Darío Martínez Gálvez, Minerva Albaladejo Moya, Rubén Ibáñez Cutanda and David López Pérez.

Saxophone Baritones: Álvaro de Manuel Moreno and Olga García Monteagudo.

Bass Saxophone: Daniel Martínez López.
