The City of Molina de Segura, IKEA and the Association Columbares molinense invite families to participate in the proposed Green Homes (13/09/2010)

Green Homes is a project of the Association Columbares, funded by the IKEA collaborates to raise public awareness about the importance of their daily habits have on the environment

The Green Homes project, sponsored by the Association Columbares and funded by the IKEA cooperates, will be released to the families of Molina de Segura on Thursday 16 September, from 10.00 to 14.00, on the Paseo Rosales, with an activity is an information booth and a tent where, through an animation, invites children, youth and adults in the municipality to build a Green Home fictitious.

This activity is conducted in collaboration with the Department of Environment molinense Hall.

Green Homes promotes a change of attitudes in molinense families in different areas of the home (water, energy, transportation, waste, purchase, etc..), Demonstrating that simple measures, it can achieve energy and cost savings without decreasing welfare, and contribute simultaneously to the fight against climate change and environmental conservation.

With this initiative forward messages to people saving energy, water and waste, responsible consumption and sustainable mobility to apply in their home and daily activity.

All this fun, dynamic and participative.

The stand will feature information and demonstration materials, different devices for saving energy and water, household waste reduction and use of solar energy.

In the tent, through cardboard materials and appliances represent elements of a real home, the participants will build a green home and learn to apply these tips in your own home.

The Department of Environment, through the Environmental Education Service, assists in the Green Homes project, as part of its efforts to promote active and responsible participation of citizens in the path to a balanced and friendly environment.

The Councillor for the Environment, Consuelo Rosauro Meseguer, wants to "support this initiative promoted by the Association and the Fund Columbares IKEA collaborates, and I invite all families to participate in molinense Green Homes project, highlighting the importance of daily habits have on Environment and in improving the sustainability of our homes and city. Within the project raising activities will be developed also 3 theoretical / practical workshops aimed at associations and the general public, the workshop schedule is as follows:

Wednesday October 27, 2010, from 17.00 to 19.00 pm in the auditorium of the College of Education Child Paseo Rosales: Workshop theoretical / practical on waste, recycling and responsible consumption.

Wednesday November 10, 2010, from 17.00 to 19.00 pm in the auditorium of the Centro Integral Ceramics: Workshop theoretical / practical climate change, energy conservation and efficiency and saving water at home.

Thursday November 25, 2010, from 19:00 to 21:00 pm in the auditorium of the Centro Las Balsas: theoretical Workshop / Workshop on sustainable mobility and efficient driving.

The Fund collaborates IKEA
