Last October 28 was held at the Villa de Molina theater closing concert of the twentieth anniversary of the Municipal Polyphonic Choir "Hims Mola", with a performance of Symphony No 2 in B minor, op.
52 "Lobgesang" by Felix Mendelssohn.
The interpretation of the symphony brought together a number of molinense musicians such as conductor Virginia Martinez Fernandez, the sopranos Garres Consuelo Carbonell and Antonio Maria Sandoval Garcia, Manuel Arnaldos choir directors and Pilar Serrano Gallardo Fernández and corals Mola Hims.
Along with all of them, under the baton of Virginia, also performed the tenor José Pizarro Alonso and the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia.
The first part of the event, presented by Domingo Perez Bermejo, was a tour of the activity of the coral and recognition ceremony paid tribute to the Presidents of the past twenty years, the directors and to: The Municipal Band of Molina Segura, The Conservatory of Music "Maestro Jaime Lopez, Molina de Segura, La Orquesta Municipal Hims Mola" Molina de Segura, the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, the Teatro Villa de Molina "to the Pastor Church of Our Lady of the Assumption "de Molina, a Cajamurcia, Virginia Martínez Director holder of the Youth Orchestra of Murcia; The Mayor on behalf of the City of Molina de Segura and members of the Polyphonic Choir Association Municipal Mola Hims. "
This was endorsed in the words that led us Reme López Paredes, current President, glossing the year of celebrations, Manuel Arnaldos, founding director (who took us, first, to the 80's remembering the rebirth of music in Molina, and and another referred to the values of human group that makes up the coral) and Eduardo Contreras Linares, the mayor, who stressed the idiosyncrasies of the local coral.
The second part consisted of an interpretation of that symphony, which was written in 1840 to commemorate the fourth centenary of the invention of printing, and is based on biblical texts.
With the interpretation of this concert, the Municipal Polyphonic Choir "Hims Mola" put the finishing touch to their twentieth anniversary celebrations before an audience that filled the seats of the theater molinense, showing his art and renew their hopes to continue working long in the service of music in Molina de Segura.
