Molina de Segura recalls the figure of the journalist and writer Ros Fulgencio Miñano Friday November 5 (05/11/2010)

The town of Molina de Segura recalled TODAY Friday, November 5, with an act of homage, the figure of one of its illustrious sons, Fulgencio Miñano Ros (Molina de Segura, July 1915 / / Gerona, January 1968), during the transfer of his remains from Gerona to the municipal cemetery of Molina de Segura.

The event will be attended by the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras Linares, and members of the Municipal Corporation and the widow of Don Fulgencio Miñano, María Isabel Domínguez.

At 19.30 pm in his family home located on Broad Street, No 25, the municipality, you will discover a plaque.

Later, at 20.00 am in the Plenary Hall of the City Council, is hosting a roundtable with the participation of the honoree's son, Enrique Domínguez Miñano, Maximino Linares, Manuel Sandoval and Official Chronicler of the town of Molina de Segura Antonio de los Reyes.

At the end of the round table, a documentary biography of Fulgencio Miñano, by his son Henry, lasting approximately 40 minutes.

Biography

Ros Miñano Fulgencio Molina de Segura was born in July 12, 1915 in the midst of a poor family that was engaged in the manufacture of esparto.

With 13 years in 1928 began operating in the town's School of Arts and Crafts, at the hands of Eduardo Linares Lumer, Fulgencio being one of his first students.

With just 17 finishes his studies at the Escuela Normal de Maestros de Murcia, starting on a process of abandonment of Molina de Segura will continue throughout their lives.

Also begins in the language that in the future will be key to the development of his travels and knowledge of other peoples and cultures.

With 19 years teaching at Albacete.

In 1936 Spanish Civil War broke out and Fulgencio, twenty years old and lives the tragic world of the trenches having to deal with the dreaded little walk.

Fulgencio Molina de Segura return to complete the race, but soon moved to Madrid with the intention of studying journalism.

There, among pension where you live, keep an active social life while studying at the Official School of Journalism, recently founded in 1941 by Juan Aparicio.

In 1946, 30, finished his studies in Journalism and began working in Spanish and the literary baton.

Often returned Molina de Segura, where he gave some classes at the School of Arts and Crafts, or in which his cousin had set Miñano Gregory (whose name it bears one of the schools molinense) called Lope de Vega.

In 1947 he was appointed editor of the newspaper La Mañana, Lleida, where he remained until 1950, which went on to lead the newspaper Freedom, Valladolid, 34 years old.

This newspaper has the usual columnists César González Ruano, Camilo Jose Cela, Tomás Borrás Wenceslas Fernandez Flores and others.

With 37 years is intended to Gerona, where he directs the newspaper sites, and 40 years, November 24, 1955, married in Valladolid with María Isabel Domínguez.

As director of the only newspaper of Girona, is devoted in body and soul to it, giving lectures and taking an intense social life, traveling constantly, not to mention his hometown.

On January 11, 1968 died in Gerona.
