The City of Molina de Segura Scrap and cranes working with Paris in the second edition of Let's Painting Competition on the Environment (05/11/2010)

The Department of Environment of the City of Molina de Segura is working with the company and Cranes Scrap Paris, dedicated to the management of waste from vehicles, in organizing the second annual Painting Competition outdoor Imagine the Environment.

The presentation of the project has been completed, on Friday 5 November, by the Councillor for the Environment, Consuelo Rosauro Meseguer, responsible for Administration and Management of Scrap and Waste Cranes Paris, Julián González Martínez, and the Deputy Dean of Culture Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Murcia, Isabel Tejada Martín.

This is a mural painting competition, outdoors and no pre-defined style, which is aimed at sensitizing the public on the need for environmental protection.

It is part of politics CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) of the company, as an aspect of their business environment and social policy.

The uniqueness of the event is the location of the works on the plates that make up the wall that delimits the company premises, a wall parallel to the A30 motorway, which ensures the dissemination of works and their environmental message.

The Department of Environment, which helped the first edition of this event, wants to again support this initiative which is part of the support from the Environmental Education Service is done to all those actions that enable the direct involvement citizenship knowledge, assessment, prevention and improvement of environmental problems.

The event features a first prize of 900 euros for the winner and second prize of 500 euros for the finalist, plus an allocation of 150 euros for each of the selected sketches, in order not to tax the contestants in economically the completion of your project.

The deadline for submission of the sketches began on October 30, 2010 and ends on February 15, 2011.

The Councillor for the Environment, Consuelo Rosaura, highlights "the involvement of Scrap and Paris Cranes environmental awareness initiatives and its ability to generate events that, through its dissemination, to allow for a change in the way of acting and thinking of our business and society in general. "

In this year's competition with other Canadian local government and media and the University of Murcia, through the Faculty of Fine Arts.

Cranes scrapping and Paris has launched other initiatives to raise environmental awareness throughout the year 2010 as bike trails, reforestation in the Sierra de Ricote, and partnerships with municipalities in the celebration of World Environment Day.

It also collaborates with NGOs in implementing humanitarian projects.

The company has also made an invitation to the media to carry out corporate social responsibility policies, helping with their own work of informers, to spread such events.

Thus, the involvement of businesses, public and media can make a difference of positive thinking in society to environmental problems.
