More than 100 families now have a new subsidized housing in Molina de Segura (22/11/2010)

The new buildings, ten of them adapted for disabled guests, have energy saving devices

The President of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, presented today in Molina de Segura keys to 103 families a new development of sheltered housing, driven by the local consistory with financial support from the Regional Housing Plan.

Valcarcel, who was accompanied by the Minister of Public Works and Planning, José Ballesta, and the mayor of the municipality, Eduardo Contreras, said that one of the main objectives of the work done by the regional government, through this Plan, is promoting the construction of housing and provide assistance to young people to enjoy a home that meets all your needs.

This project has undertaken the construction of houses of between 92 and 109 square feet with prices starting at 96,000 euros, having all of them with grants by the regional government, which vary depending on personal circumstances of the new owners.

The new building, located in Altorreal, have energy saving devices such as sensors to automatic on / off in the common areas, and hot water system solar energy.

Also, the property have kitchen, garage and storage.

The construction of these six blocks of houses, conducted on two lots donated by the City molinense of 9,823 and 11,734 meters square, also involved the local adaptation of two social impacts on neighboring communities and two children's play areas, a sports court and landscaped areas.

Additionally, ten of the buildings are adapted for disabled guests.

Regional Housing Plan

The Regional Housing Plan, which the regional government will invest over 140 million euros in aid offered to all citizens who meet the requirements, it is a social progressive plan that pays special attention to social groups that find it more difficult access to housing.

Foremost among these, young people under 35, unemployed, large families, single parents with children, dependent or disabled people and their families, victims of domestic violence or terrorism, as well as separated and divorced.

This initiative has enabled the region is between the first communities nationwide to build more subsidized housing per capita, with more than 2,500 housing starts last year, after the regional government has increased almost six grants and subsidies.
