Breaking the Babel European Seminar, organized by the Department of Youth and Social Welfare of the City of Molina de Segura, in the European Youth in Action Programme and managed by the Association Cazares, has been presented at a press conference on Thursday December 9 by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, Councillor of Social Welfare, Worship Molina López, Councillor for Youth, Sonia Carrillo Marble, and the Coordinator of the Association Cazalla, Diego Marin Romera.

Breaking Babel, funded by the European Union and the Youth Institute, will run from 13 to 17 December at the City Hostel The Landing of Molina de Segura (located in the Ecological Park Vicente Blanes, in the hamlet of El Hall), where it will stay also 20 participants from different European countries (Latvia, Estonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Denmark, Lithuania and Spain).

There will be assisted by three Cazalla Association, an organization that works in the field of intercultural and European programs.

In the working sessions of the international seminar on exchange of work experiences in intercultural learning methodologies in projects of the Youth in Action, and promotion of new projects on this topic.

Seminar objectives are:

Share best practices of intercultural learning.

Discover new methodologies, tools and techniques of group exchanges, and explore the use of new technologies on intercultural learning.

Improve the quality of projects and initiatives already underway intercultural and promote new projects that will benefit from learning (practical and methodological) of the seminar.

Participants will discuss and reflect on the theme of multiculturalism, with issues such as:

- Sharing best practices of intercultural learning.

- New technologies and intercultural learning.

- The challenges of multiculturalism: utopia or challenge achievable.

- Methodological challenges in intercultural learning.

- Tools social / cultural transformative learning.

- Open space new projects and initiatives.
