The signing of the cooperation agreement between the city of Molina de Segura and the Foundation for Health Research and Training in the Region of Murcia (FFIS) for coordinated action in the promotion of physical activity and healthy lifestyle has taken place Monday December 13 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health.

The event was attended by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, and the Minister of Health of the Region of Murcia and Chair of the Board of the Foundation for Health Research and Training in the Region of Murcia Social Welfare, María Ángeles Palacios Sánchez.

The purpose of this agreement is to establish the terms of collaboration between the City molinense and FFIS to establish a network of services in the territory of Molina de Segura provide citizens develop a physically active attitude by performing regular physical exercise improving their lifestyles and helping to control risk factors for diseases most prevalent.

The FFIS is committed to: evaluate and design the training needs of primary care professionals and technical staff involved in the program, coordinate actions with the prevention and care activities carried out by the Ministry of Health and Service Health Murciano, facilitate and contribute to the resources obtained to support the technical staff needed to carry out the development of convention centers and municipal offices, and to evaluate the impact of efficiency and effectiveness of the program.

For its part, the City of Molina de Segura is committed to: determine the characteristics required of the technical staff that will be part of the program, facilitate the use of units and community centers to be established jointly in the monitoring committee; and carried out joint planning and monitoring of activities.

The agreement comes into force upon signature thereof and will be in force until December 31, 2012, and can be extended if agreed by both parties.
