The European Mobility Week is celebrating its tenth year under the slogan of "Navigate efficiently, improve your mobility!"
The two bus lines of Molina de Segura will be free during the week of 16 to 22 September, within the activities planned for the celebration of the European Mobility Week, as announced by the Councillor for Mobility, Rosauro Consuelo, who presented initiative by the Mayor of the municipality, Eduardo Contreras and the company responsible for the Coaches Molina, José Pérez Martínez.
The City of Molina de Segura joins another year, the campaign on sustainable mobility, which this year celebrates its tenth year under the slogan "Scroll efficiently, improving your mobility".
The second of the planned initiatives is holding a course taught by which to move in a sustainable way, using the bicycle as transportation.
The course will be held on Tuesday 20 September at the Education Park Road, from 18.00 to 20.00 hours, and be accessible to all children and adults who come to the selected location.
Councillor for Mobility, Comfort Rosauro stated that "the city of Molina adds to this European initiative, thus complying with the proposals made by our town for a few months ago we joined the Covenant of Mayors and achieve the goals set by the European Union by 2020 the initiative known as 20/20/20. One of our major challenges in meeting these goals is reducing the volume of travel in private vehicles, which rely mainly on fossil fuels. "
"From the Department of Transportation of the City of Molina de Segura, we will promote and encourage during this term the use of public transport in a sustainable and efficient."
To this end, the Department of Transportation has begun work to implement two initiatives in this regard.
It is preparing a study on urban public transport in the municipality and the implementation of a Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan and Urban Road Safety Plan.
