The elections for mayor / s headman / a in the districts of Molina de Segura took place on Sunday 23 October from 10.00 to 20.00 hours, in four of the eight districts that had more than one candidate.
This is El Llano de Molina, La Ribera de Molina, El Romeral / The Homer and the Brave.
In the case of constituencies Campotéjar Low / High Campotéjar, The Landing / The ferret, Albarda / Comala / The Sword / The Fenazar and The Torrealta, where only one candidate has or has not submitted any, have not been held elections, and is the mayor who appointed as Mayor headman village headman or the only candidate, or whom he deems most appropriate, if no candidates.
The participation rate was of 43'59% (in the elections held in 2007 the rate was 50'87%).

In the elections could attend all the residents enrolled in the electorate of the constituency which were endorsed by a number of signatures equal to or greater than 5% of the entire electorate of the constituency concerned.
The election campaign lasted five days, began at 00.00 hours on Monday October 17 and ended at 24.00 pm on Friday, October 21.
The law of local competition attributed to the Mayor's appointment of village headman, but also allows that it can, taking into consideration the request of neighborhood associations and in order to encourage participation in local life, agree that the designation of these village headman choice is made by the neighbors of the municipality.
In 2007, elections were held to appoint the then thirteen mayors / as Puisne / as the municipality (currently 8 districts have been established, which brings together all villages).
